The Alliance for Information Science and Technology Information was originally established as the Library Services Alliance of New Mexico in January 1992. In 1999 the organization changed its name to reflect the broadening geographic and philosophical scope of its membership.

From its inception, AISTI has focused on scientific and technical information and the best way to provide that information to the researchers of the members' primary communities. Our Board of Directors are committed to innovation in the field of library science and each have implemented cutting edge processes in their organizations.
