Info-Ex Program

RECIPROCAL BORROWING
INFORMATION EXCHANGE (INFO-EX) GUIDELINES

As members of the Alliance for Information Science and Technology Information, the libraries have adopted a common goal to promote and facilitate research between our staffs. To realize this goal, the Laboratory libraries, Los Alamos National Laboratory, and the academic libraries, New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, New Mexico State University, and the University of New Mexico, will extend borrowing privileges to faculty, graduate students and staff, so that they may have direct physical access to research materials not available in their home libraries. This means that faculty, graduate students and staff in good standing with the Library will be able to come into any of the other Libraries and check out books from the collection of the lending library with a Info-Ex card and proper identification.

An Info-Ex card will be issued to each person in the Program giving privileges to check out books in the participating Libraries. Books may be returned either to the lending library, or the institution home Library.
