  • Emerging Research Summit - This facilitates a process of dialog and exchange among key library and information technology pioneers who have an established recordof innovation. The most recent meeting was held in May 2007. The resulting white paper is available for download. (3.8MB PDF)

  • Digital Repository of Cave and Karst Scanning Electron Micrographs - AISTI has provided funding for this project. This is a collaborative project with UNM, NMT and LANL. It will enable S.E.M. searchability within the developing Karst Information Portal.
  • Support of the MPEG21-DIDL structures developed at with the LANL Research Library Prototypeing Team . AISTI has funded travel for the continuation of this project.

Past Collaborative Projects

  • Emerging Research Summit - Emerging Research Summit as a way of furthering is missions and vision. Results from these efforts included a funded Mellon grant which investigated the release of open source software to expose grey literature via Apache servers.
  • Enhanced Access Tools - AISTI members have worked closely with full member Los Alamos National Laboratory Library Without Walls Project to develop integrated research tools.
  • Technical Reports Initiative - AISTI members, Los Alamos National Laboratory Research Library, Naval Research Laboratory Library, NASA STI Program and Air Force Research Laboratory agreed to participate in a project that enabled technical reports from each institution to be available to eachother electronically.
  • AISTI E-print server - AISTI partnered with the Los Alamos National Laboratory Research Library to create an e-print server housed AISTI member documents. The outcome was that several AISTI members set up their own Institutional Repositories with the education provided.
